Question Regarding Seattle University?
Hey there, I attended a college fair today helping me decide which college I will be attending in about two years or so and I am curious about Seattle Univeristy…
I receieved a brochure with a few information about it and it sounds pretty good other than the fact that it’s a Jesuit sort of school with religion which is not really my thing although I’m supposedly a Roman Catholic. Anyways, do you guys have any information or experiences you would like to share to me about this school or Seattle in general? Is it a cool place to reside and attend school? What’s the weather like up there and the people? I live in Hawai’i so I am not used to the mainland atmosphere. I am interested in majoring in either psychology, or literature (creative writing) also…would any of you guys happen to know any good universities possibly on the far east coast such as New York or Miami or far west coast such as California or Washington that are known for majoring in those areas? If so, please let me know! All your answers and opinions are dearly respected
!
Thanks a bunch and mahalo nui loa!

It’s very cool in Western Washington. The rainy season is upon us, and we usually get some snow. Having been to Hawaii, I would stay there (lol). Anyway… The compact campus is in a small dip that is behind the big hill that is much of established Seattle [so there is no view of Puget Sound from ground level, but our famous Mt Rainier is visible on clear days.] The campus is surrounded by several hospitals, and a thriving neighborhood, so the area is congested; but is very near a hip and trendy area for young adults.
Being a private school it could be expensive unless you have a scholarship. And you will have to figure out the religion part for yourself, but generally the college is highly regarded. Get a pen pal from SU to give you the bigger picture, and the little facts.
Emerson college in Boston is good for literature. My nephew just graduated from there.
